Osteosarcoma- staying strong, but struggling.

hello! my name is angeline. i am an 18 year old university student who just got diagnosed with osteosarcoma about 3 weeks ago. i have a positive spirit, but staying strong for my friends and family is starting to tear me down. i would really appreciate some support and a friend to talk to, especially a teen/young adult. i have many adults who want to talk, but it just isn’t the same. if anyone is out there wanting to make a friend, please contact me. i would really appreciate some understanding. thank you.

    Hi Angeline,

I can certainly understand how you would feel. To be 18 and just starting off at college and then get hit with this has to feel like such a shock. But there a lot of teens here who know what that’s like…many who have had their college or work plans interrupted too.

I totally get you with ‘adults’ wanting to talk. Sometimes all you want is someone your age who gets you. That’s why we’re here. And as the resident ‘adult’ please know I was once a young adult going through the cancer experience…so I totally get it.

Hang in there…we’re here for you.

Hi Angeline! My name is Maddy, and a I would love to be a go to person to chat with. I am sixteen which may seem young, but less intimidating I suppose. I have not gone through cancer, but I do volunteer at a Childrens Hospital so I am around people who are going through cancer. My mom also had cancer so I went through that. So, I am here to talk, about whatever. I am a piece of your support team and if you ever, ever want to just chat, email me at graphicbirdie@gmail.com
Like every other person, I am going to say you will be strong, and I wish you every possible luck. So yep, I am here whenever. I have a strong devotion to my computer, and my friend situation is lacking, so I have a guaranteed response. Again, good luck, I would love to hear updates on how you are doing, so if you don’t email me, post here
