people you dont know make an impact

In August (2010) I spoke to a girl named Megan. I hardly knew her but after having a one message conversation with her, I didn’t hear from her again. About a week ago I got an e-mail from from a guy named Cody saying things didn’t work out so I would just like to thank him for letting me know. My best wishes to the family and friends. :)

I think that one of the hardest part of cancer survivorship is knowing that there are others who do not make it through.

If you look at what the human experience is…reaching out to others and have them in turn reach out to you is the richest part of this. But it isn’t easy to face loss.

If we know a person one year…one day…or in your case just one message—we feel a bit of their spark is shared with us. Forming connections opens us to be touched in some way by that person.

You made a connection and the fact that you share this remembrance and honor her…that is a beautiful thing. I thank you for sharing with us.
